Welcome

I began dry stone dyking in 1979 under the instruction of my father, a man with some forty years experience.

 

Working with slate was a natural progression, thus a passion for working with both materials was born.

 

My slate garden sculptures have been created with reclaimed slate. I cut and shape each slate by hand to produce an elegant and striking feature.

 

Some pictures demonstrate the beauty of combining these materials such as the slate vase raised on a dry stone base, these age-old materials naturally compliment each other and certainly make a striking visual impact. I take immense pride in my work and in the last 36 years I have carried out a vast array of jobs including:

 

• Slate sculpture

• Decorative dry stone dyking and pillars

• Dry stone and mortared garden walls

• Agricultural dyking and repairs
